Built in 1920, the Hurtwood Inn has been the hub of village life for many years. Having been expanded over the years, the Hurtwood Inn now boasts 15 boutique bedrooms, a bustling bar and relaxed restaurant in the heart of the Surrey Hills.
Come for a walk or ride in beautiful Peaslake and refresh yourself with our great selection of local craft beers and world wines, along with our home cooked English and Italian food. If you are planning a celebration, book our fantastic restaurant, which can seat up to 80 people.
We also have a private conference room, with all the appropriate equipment for your private or work event.
Well behaved dogs are very welcome in the bar area!
Meet the Owners
From Formula 1 to the Surrey Hills
Matt Morris is the owner of the Hurtwood Inn and Hotel, having taken over the business with his family in 2019.
Having had a successful career in Formula 1 racing that took him all over the world, Matt moved back to the UK from Switzerland in 2013. His love of mountain biking led him to discover the Surrey Hills and the hidden gem that is the Hurtwood Inn.
Since then, Matt has been developing the mountain biking and group events as part of the Hurtwood Inn expansion. His wife Eileen manages the hotel and has worked in hospitality all her career including a spell at the prestigious Hilton Group.
